Alaska - Eight Mile Lake
The Project
The key objectives included coring, drilling, and sampling to collect essential data on the link between taliks (pockets of thawed soil) and downstream rivers. Using advanced radar technologies, we detected taliks at depth and observed how water circulates between these interconnected systems. This expedition was conducted for the first time in winter.
