Imaqa was inspired by the success of the Nanok Expedition in Greenland in 2022, a 6-month ice triathlon, led by adventurers and explorers Gilles DENIS and Nathan GOFFART.

In the course of this adventure, carried out at the service of science through the creation of an international consortium of researchers, over five experiments aimed at gaining a better understanding of climate change have been realized.

Imaqa emerges from a collaborative effort among explorers, scientists, and communication specialists.

Functioning as a specialized provider of scientific field services in extreme environments, Imaqa also serves as a pioneering platform for scientific communication and facilitates educational outreach and public awareness initiatives on pressing issues.

To achieve this, we harness the power of human and sporting adventures in the pursuit of scientific advancement, with a primary focus on polar regions as our preferred terrain.
